Procedures

Regular dental cleanings are available to aid with your oral maintenance. We check for cavities and other tooth decay, rinse with fluoride, polish, deep clean and inspect for gingivitis and periodontal disease. We’ll discuss any questions and concerns you might have as well! 

 We welcome new patients of all ages at Toronto Beaches Dentists office.  New patient exams are critical in getting to know your specific dental needs and how we are going to approach your care. Our team will work with you to determine a plan that best suits you. 

X-Rays provide a complete look at your teeth and how they are growing or have grown in your mouth, which allows us to determine what type of dental care you need. We recommend x-rays at least once a year – especially for young ones – to ensure an overall healthy, comfortable mouth. 

Our dental professionals use the most modern technology to stop the process of cavities and save the tooth. The cavity area is removed and filled in to seal off the decayed area and protect the rest of the tooth from bacteria. 

We provide crowns, which often cover teeth that have had root canals. Crowns may also be placed over teeth that have been cracked or chipped to protect the remaining part of the tooth. These crowns can be metal, but are often tooth colored and very subtle. Depending on the severity of the cavity, a crown may also be placed over a tooth after a filling.

Bridges are pieces of dental hardware that “bridge the gap” between missing teeth and often have an implant connected to them to fill empty space. Bridges also provide support for natural teeth that are next to missing teeth to prevent crowding or shifting. Our dentists will custom fit bridges for your gums, teeth and jaw.

If you have a chipped tooth, discolored enamel, crooked teeth or teeth with uneven edges, veneers can be installed to fill in gaps, create symmetry and correct or brighten your smile. Veneers are small pieces of porcelain that are placed over part or all of a tooth. Veneers can be used on one or several teeth, and we will custom design your veneers to fit your needs and smile. 

If your teeth are dull, yellow or stained, we provide professional in-office teeth whitening to restore a bright, confident smile. Multiple appointments may be needed to achieve the level of whitening you’re looking for. 

Our dentist office also provides mouth guards, for those who grind their teeth at night and athletes who participate in contact sports. There are various types available depending on whether they will be used at night or during sports, and there are options to fit over braces as needed.
